bling bling

I've learnt something very valuable just by making a decision of eating out with a bunch of new found friends. I've realized that it is good to step out of your comfort zone, to try new things and to reach new horizons. My mum told me once " wah you ar always mixing with the wrong group, either you are always eating out with the aunties ( not really aunties la, just that they are a few 10 years more senior than me thats all) or you are mixing around with the kids (referring to the church kids which i'm volunteering to keep an eye on), why aren't you mixing around with people with your own age? why not you change ministry and join the choir or something so you can meet people your age?" So yesterday, i finally went out with "people my age" to eat lunch. Doesn't sound like a feat? it is to me, coz i don't know many people in my church apart from my batch of CW friends whom i lost touch with since i always sit with my mom during sermons and probably just a few aunties who would accommodate in the children's ministry. So yea, when my friend asked me out, i was a tad skeptical about going, but then i decided it is time i get out of my comfort zone. And i was glad i did. We chatted over lunch and i learnt something from this guy, he definitely has live his daily life to the fullest. He didn't let money get into his way when it comes to experiencing new things, in his case its sports, and its extreme sports type. Sometimes i wonder, what is pulling me back? you only live life once, but then again, i'm not living in a world that revolves around me, there are people's feelings that i need to consider, easier said than done *sigh* but then he said something which i thought was true, he said " opportunities are out there, it is whether you want to grab them or not, if you search for it, you will surly find it" FULAMAK! so true man, ever since then, i start to look at things differently. Everything becomes an opportunity and not an obstacle, and i realized i was more willing to go head on with things instead of thinking of all the negative things it would bring before even trying, and sometimes these negative thoughts of mine would lead me to not go at all and missing out on great events. Overall through that lunch, i've met 2 more new friends, i suppose it was me all along not wanting to open up to people, they were actually quite friendly hahaha new stepping stone!

And yes, the heads on decision was actually about today's audition introduced by Jian Yong. And i'm glad i made that decision, i met a few more new people today =))) who knows what more new horizons are awaiting me? Oh, and yes, in every group, there's bound to be a glue that bonds other friends together. In high school it was Houyi, in college it was Wenyi and in church it is Joshua =) and he will NEVER see this lol but i'm really grateful to these "glues", they are the reason i got closer to friends and get to know more friends =) so THANK YOU!

Alert!!

OMG today Jack Neo and his crew were in my college filming! Shawn Lee and Joshua Ang T.T didn't get to see them.....was too chicken to go near the filming site, was excited just to know the fact that they were there in my college hahahaha. Anyway went and visit Joyce at Chatime, she was the first one who posted on facebook that Jack Neo was in Lakeside. That lucky girl took a picture with the hottie too >.< jealous sial.... anyway, was happy to see her, haven't seen her since she transferred school to catholic high =/ so we chatted a while and apparently that smart girl is going to further her studies majoring in medicine. Gosh..smart kid, don't know many friends who take up medicine lo, i really respect people who take medicines, don't know how their brains can handle all those science hahahaha maybe i'm just stupid. But these are the REAL people who works in hospitals. Tired of people asking me what course i take and when i say "hospitality" they ask " oh you become nurse ar?" =.=" ZHA DOU

Not bad right? My dear friend Magdalene drew this for me, after seeing the sketch i finally knew why ppl calls me Aunty, hahahaha the rims of my glasses is at the middle of my eyes...isn't she so talented? i didn't know she could draw lol hidden talent...

I somehow always manage to make myself look ugly, i mean since i'm already ugly, why not just go all the way right? hahaha so i make a fool out of myself most of the time. like so....

Anyways, this post is dedicated to Magdalene, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! sorry for the late post, i know you have been waiting ;)

P/s: come to think about it, i've never earned myself a spot in any of my friend's blog =/ i suppose what goes around comes around? or rather how you treat them is directly proportionate to how they will treat you inturn? anyways what the heck!

Othello

Haih...if only the people of the earth are all naive, the world would be a better place to live in. Perhaps maybe not naive but have high moral values and integrity which they actually practice in their daily lives, only then the world would be a better place to live in.

Think about it, we (the students) are like the white pieces on the Othello board going into society and experiencing the REAL world after we graduate. Our society here is like the black piece of the Othello board. This is why i mentioned the statement above. We, being fresh out of college, having brought with us our moral value from high school/college and going out into the "world" thinking that the world is a great place, we should help people in need, and usually when we ourselves help others, we would think others would do the same to us. Well...apparently that's naive. Many times, a white piece goes into the world, and subsequently turned into a black piece. Let's give 2 examples:
a colleague (A) asked to borrow money from another colleague (B) saying that he needs the money badly as he is broke, so B borrowed A quite an amount of money, thinking that helping friends in need is a virtue right? And after a few weeks, A disappeared, and the money could not be recovered.
I would be the perfect subject for the 2nd example. Last time my car "broke down" on me while on my way home, so while i waited for my brother to come, a man approached me and offered help. It was naive of me to think that this "good" samaritan was actually there to help me. I didn't ask for help, yet he came and do nothing and demanded for money =.= what happened to sincerely helping someone in need?
There, with this two examples, i can finally say that after these things happen to the white pieces, they too tend to turn into black pieces so as to defend themselves form these greedy people. So when another colleague is really in dire need of money, these same people would not borrow a single to this other colleague. And when the whole world becomes black pieces, everybody would be selfish, greedy, cautious, and tend to be mean. Look at what has become of this world...A guy brought a lost boy back to his home, yet this guy who was being nice was charged as being a pedophile and put into jail. It's really sad...

On the brighter side, I see the younger generation changing, twice i was being sincerely helped by a total stranger when my friend's car tyre punctured, so i really hope that these people will not be corrupted by society and continue to touch lives =) and i do hope that i will have the tolerance to continue to sincerely help others in need even if people will think i'm stupid or gullible. I really want to make a difference, Gandhi said " be the change you want to see in the world" and hopefully i can do it one human at a time.

Free at last!

Just ended my industrial training yesterday so basically i am FREE!!! I can wake up late, sleep late, catch up on my dramas, facebook ;)

I am definitely going to miss the people at EEST, it will be an experience i shall never forget. Initially they plan to throw me into the pond, but i knew they wouldn't dare =P but i brought back up clothes just in case hahahaha I suppose i was pampered on my last day, with treats from everybody, I got a vanilla milkshake by Yap who sacrificed his rest time to personally make a milkshake for me, then i got a sushi platter by the japanese chef Yuan, everybody said the platter that i had wasn't even served in EEST and commented that guest didn't even have the privilege to makan that platter hahaha but i suppose even the guest won't get hidden chunks of wasabi hidden in the last sushi -.-'' makan sampai nangis o~ I initially suspected something, but since the first 4 pieces was safe, i assumed the last one would be too, mana tahu.....>.< And then after that i got a tiramisu from Prego, the real stuff which according to Kent sends orgasms into the mouth -.- and yes the tiramisu has alcohol in it, so it definitely taste better than the tiramisu made by pastry ( pastry punya halal ma..) And one last thing, omg... i collected my own cake and i didn't even know it. The name was written "Tan Mae Mae" at first i was like, wah! this guest same name as me le~ then oso i was suspicious...really meh? so i asked Wai Ting and Seong " this guest really exist ar?" then they told me "yea of coz" so i put it in the fridge thinking it was a guest by the name Tan Mae Mae would collect it. Mana tau restaurant tutup the cake masih ada di sana, so obviously it was mine la, *there is a reason y it's tiramisu cake, coz its the only thing that would make me stay even after my shift ends hahahaha* So yea, they promised me a 1kg tiramisu cake and they kept their promise *so touched* and lastly b4 i went home, Seong gave me a bottle of Tiger beer =D and asked me to finish it. So i eventually end up over eating yesterday. And to put the icing on the cake, my dear friend Wenyi belanja me McD for supper =) and also stayed back to celebrate my last day at EEST and Westin. Thank you guys so much! I love you all <3

This post is dedicated to all EEST service associates: Boon, Kent, Itin, Silya, Tham ( naughty boy), Yap, Seong, Wai Ting and of coz Jonas who wasn't there and also Suresh. Not to forget the kitchen team who has fed me throughout my training, treating me like their wives, gf, sister * i think i have 2 husbands* overall it was fun hanging out with all the chefs who constantly puts a smile on my face =) thank you ^^

Sniff

I'm officially sick again...it's funny how my body is always like that, it's like its very manja, it has to wait until everything is done and over and when i reach home, it collapse. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I suppose its a good thing so i dun have to take MC and have a clear record for 100% attendance but why? why can't i be healthy throughout the whole thing? haih....it just reminds me of that time we had librarian camp in Langkawi, i was ok until my body saw home and decided to just off the switch of my immune system, and there i was sick for the rest of the week =.= sien....

Malaysians...again?

Malaysians are a bunch of unique people no?

Malaysian dictionary:
On the way actually means --- " eh hello? ya... I'm on the way, on the way" *hangs up phone and gets ready to leave the house* yup thats Malaysian style "on the way" it means they are just leaving the house, on the way to get to the car and get the journey started.

*insert time here* o'clock actually means --- " eh dun play play, i wake up at 5 o'clock ok?" 5 o'clock actually means 5.45, 5.50 , 5.30 no matter if you wake up at 5.59 it is still 5'o'clock. More effect more drama ma..

punctuality actually means--- being late for 10 - 15 minutes =)
